Page 1 of 2 Our Training in Albany will be March 17-19 in Albany, New York and will be held at the Holiday Inn Turf on Wolf Road. Please take note and read carefully the following information related to training, accomadations, travel, and per diem allowance. 1. This is considered a non-paid training. Although you will receive federal USERRA coverage, per diem, lodging, and mileage, you WILL NOT receive salary for training. 2. Friday and Sunday are travel days and you'll only get a percentage of your per diem for that day. Saturday you'll get a full day of per diem. 3. In order to get reimbursement for mileage, you will need to bring with you a MapQuest printout documenting mileage from your residence. **NOTE** If you live WITHIN 50 miles of the hotel you WILL NOT receive per diem, you WILL NOT have your hotel paid for by FEMA. 4. Rooms will be on a shared basis. If you have a preference for a room-mate, please email Scott as soon as possible. You will be responsible ofr any incidental expenses charged to your room. If you are bringing your spouse or significant other and they are not a credentialed FEMA employee, you will have to pay 1/2 of the room rate which total is $92. Please also inform Scott if you are bringing your spouse or significant ofther ASAP. 5. There will be a cash bar at registration and the hotel has donated some snacks in appreciation for what we do (around $1000 worth). There is also a nice Martini Bar on the premises for your enjoyment as well. 6. We will be having a 'dutch treat' Prime Rib Buffet dinner on Saturday night. While it's not mandatory, we encourage you to dine with the teams and patronize the hotel as much as you can. They've been extremely generous especially after our cancellation last Fall. 7. Lunch will be on your own either in the hotel or at one of the establishments along the Wolf Road strip. 8. Please refer to the posted schedule on page 2 for schedule information.
